Jeev had another fine week of golf in The European Tour Race To Dubai finishing in a tie for 6th position at The Celtic Manor Wales Open. His rounds of 69, 68, 73 and 69 left him at five under par for the tournament, just four shots back from Denmark's Jeppe Huldahl who claimed his maiden European Tour Victory with a score of nine under par.
It was an up and down week for Jeev and one of the 'ups' was having a Hole In One at the 189 yard par 3 thirteenth hole on Thursday - he was presented with a bottle of Champagne for his ace.
Jeev had a very special person in the gallery this week following his every move and that was his father, Milkha Singh, who has a strong affinity with Wales. During the late 1950s and early 60s Milkha (known as the 'Flying Sikh') was one of India's most prominent athletes who set records in the 200m and 400m at the Asian Games and then followed that up with a gold medal at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games held in Cardiff.
Jeev will be accompanied by his father to the US Open Championship, which is his next event, being played at Bethpage beginning on 18th June.
